The Defence Trade Controls Amendment Act 2024 passed through the Australian Parliament on 27 March 2024 and will commence on 1 September 2024. In this session, we were joined by Catherine Hallett, Director AUKUS Technology Transfer, Defence Industry International Policy Branch, Department of Defence. Catherine discussed the Amendment and licence free environment, including exemptions, timeline, and benefits, including some elements of application to NZ.
