The Australian Government has recently released a Cyber Security Strategy, which includes a consultation paper seeking input from Australians and businesses on cyber security and critical infrastructure security legislative reform. In addition to proposed amendments to the SOCI Act, there are four main discussion areas: secure by design standards for IoT devices, ransomware reporting, limited use obligations, and cyber incident review board.
In this session we are joined by Will Hood, Assistant Director, National Office of Cyber Security, Department of Home Affairs. The first 20-30minutes of the session, will provide a detailed overview of the proposals for the Cyber Security Bill, followed by time for Q&A.
